Ricki Townsend In recovery since 1984, Ricki has since educated herself in the "why" of addiction and now spends her time supporting others in their healing, finding their truth, and looking within. A loving mother of three and grandmother of Six, she is most grateful for the love and support of Michael, her partner of 29 years. Belief, Faith, Action—the key to sobriety. It does not matter if you're an addict on the streets, having lost everything, or a seemingly functional person, not yet having lost family, friends, home. Addiction knows not race, gender, socio-economic status and is a self-destructive course that leads to self-loathing and unhappiness. Ricki's belief is that once we acknowledge and accept the need to heal the trauma, our lives just open up to vast possibilities. *Ricki has been trained in several models of intervention:

2008: Partnered with Mooretown Rancheria Individual and Group sessions are available. Julie Strahl Julie Strahl is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (MFC# 45198). After working for 30 years in a variety of settings with children and families in the field of Human Services, she is preparing to sit for the MFT Licensure exam(2007). Ms. Strahl is currently employed as a Therapist working with individuals and families at a counseling agency, and has been a school counselor at an elementary school. She has also served as a Board Member with Francis House, a resource and referral center for persons afflicted with poverty in body, mind and/or spirit. Her deepening awareness and professional experience with the effects of trauma on human beings has inspired her to become actively involved in facilitating the healing process, both in individual and group settings. Leigh Ann L. Leigh Ann began her journey into recovery in 2004 and has come to recognize the many faces of addiction and recovery. For her this has included prayer, service, humor, and living in and enjoying the present moment as much as possible. Leigh Ann is an experienced consultant and project manager in a number of health and human services programs on both the state and local level, is a member of the Junior League of Washington DC, and volunteers her time whenever possible to those suffering or at risk – which includes animals. She also has extensive experience with start-ups, including the design, development and implementation of business operations, including a very fun dog bakery and boutique. She gives Francis the credit for getting her out of bed on some very difficult mornings, and proving to her that love comes in very different and astounding forms. |
